About
About Thinking Tools Lab
Thinking develops through reading and writing. Thinking Tools Lab is where Mesut Aydin builds thinking tools for both, and writes about them.
The tools
- Tabulect helps you read and understand: phrase-by-phrase and speed-reading flow, one-key bookmarks, AI tables beside the text.
- Polyquill helps you write: live-preview drafting and panel sets that collaborate and share a common memory.
- Feedcairn feeds your reading: AI finds sources, subscribes you and researches across your feeds.
All three are free desktop apps, MIT-licensed open source and hosted on GitHub. Essays on thinking tools will be published here too.

Principles
- Your accounts, your machine. The apps use AI command-line tools you install and sign in to yourself (ChatGPT through Codex, Gemini, Kimi, Cursor or Claude through Claude Code). Nothing uses the author's accounts.
- No invented content. Tabulect never invents table rows, and when a requested local source is unavailable, Tabulect and Polyquill stop with a clear error instead of making text up. Essays here always list their sources.
- No tracking. This website has no analytics, no trackers, no cookies and no third-party requests. Your theme choice is stored only in your browser.
Status
The apps are in development. Menus are in English and Turkish, with a language switch; built-in AI prompts are in English, available in Turkish, and fully editable or replaceable with your own.
