Thinking Tools Lab

Thinking tools to read, understand and write better.

Thinking grows through reading and writing. Thinking Tools Lab builds an AI-augmented lab for both: open-source desktop apps that put the AI you already subscribe to right beside the text you read and the drafts you write.

  • Read better

Move through a text in meaningful word groups, at your own pace or in a speed-reading flow, and gather your sources with AI.

  • Understand better

Bookmark what matters and ask your AI to turn it into tables, explanations or research across everything you read.

  • Write better

Draft beside a live preview, and let several AI panels work, talk to each other and share a common memory.

Each tool runs on your computer and connects to the official CLI of an AI service you already use, such as ChatGPT (Codex), Gemini, Kimi, Cursor or Claude (Claude Code). Nothing runs on the author's accounts, and there is no Thinking Tools Lab server in between.
